Something Saturday

Today was fun... slept in until 9:30 before realizing the kids were probably tearing the place up, so I headed downstairs to start the day. I figured we would have a pajama day because it is so cold out, and jammies are cozy and comfy. My plans to get out early this morning and pick up a few things for Jess got pushed until tomorrow. It is natural -20 not to include the windchill. Brrrr! The kids were playing well together. They were putting on classes or goggles whichever they could find and pretending to swim in Bella's room. Haha...Bella's glasses, well you'll see...
After breakfast we watched Legend of the Guardians(animated owl movie). The kids didn't seem to care for it after it was half the way through, so I kind of finished the movie on my own. We tried to take a picture of the three of us, but my arms are just not long enough. Keep in mind it is a jammie day so I look TERRIBLE!

With a late morning and a long movie, the kids had a late nap. Kaeden woke up first. He did get out of his jammies but only into pants. He is just like Daddy today, he didn't wear a shirt all day. He has been carrying his Daddy doll all over the place.
For supper the kids had grilled ham and  cheese sammiches. YUM!
Then there was a knock at the door, it was my cousin Tom and his girlfriend Wendy. They wanted to go out for dinner tonight so the kids and I got to play with baby James for a few hours! Bella LOVED it, she was thrilled that she had a real baby to play with and take care of. She would not let me hold the bottle without getting right in there to do it herself.
To my surprise, even Kaeden enjoyed having James with us. Usually Kaeden isn't interested in babies, but baby James is so smiley and happy that even Kaeden could resist playing with him. I had to keep telling them to back off because they were so interested in baby James that they would get right up close, but James was loving the attention!

Kaeden is getting pretty good at snapping pictures now. He took a few before getting one that he could fit all of us in.
Kaeden even asked to hold the baby. So I made him sit with the pillow to help support James and he was so excited to hold him and kiss on him!

We had so much fun having James over tonight! I know I'm definitely not used to the little ones anymore, and I am pretty sure I don't want any more, but I do like to borrow other people's babies every now and then. They really do look cute all three together.
Other than the excitement of having James over today, I did get a lot done, even though you wouldn't notice by looking at the house. I went through all the toys in the house, that includes the playroom, Kaeden's room, and Bellas room. I threw a lot out, and bagged others to be given away. I had to go through toys when the kids were down to avoid a fight over getting rid of things. I have to say that it is nice to have the extra room and to have the others organized! It is funny how many things they play with after you clean through the mountains of toys. Kaeden found a bird house that he though was pretty cool to play with. Little did he know it has been there for two years!

Today went fast, and we had fun! I am missing Jess really bad today! Doesn't help I am watching some dumb sappy movie about the war. Yes babe I am crying(had to add that in there because you always ask)!
I let Kaeden stay downstairs with me while I watched my movie and he didn't last long. As I sit her writing this blog, this is what I see...

We miss you Daddy and we LOVE you so much!
Stay SAFE!!!
